At Eviture you will work as a consultant in interesting projects at a wide range of clients. We work with some of the most interesting and exciting clients in Sweden and beyond. We have been doing this for 25 years, mostly outside Sweden and are currently establishing ourselves in Sweden again - where we once started.

Some of what you will be doing

  • Analyze customer needs and collaborate with developers, business partners, architects, and other groups to understand requirements and identify technical and functional needs of systems.
  • Design and writing easily readable and understandable clean code with a clean architecture.
  • Delivery of software using DevOps "you built it, you run it!" mindset including driving continuous improvement of the same for better quality, performance, functionality, cost effectiveness, etc.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions and contribute to relevant communities and bodies
  • Working collaboratively in a distributed Agile team and contribute to the Agile team norms and coding standards, software design best practices, and architecture strategy.
  • Coach and mentor more junior developers to craft the solution so it meets the requirements and design
  • Continuously reflect upon how our clients are doing things and where they can improve

Vital skills we expect from you

General:

  • English language proficiency

Java experience:

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience from Java development
  • Experience from IntelliJ and/or Eclipse
  • Java 8 + 10 and later
  • Spring
  • Spring Boot
  • Maven
  • Unit testing with JUnit
  • ORM such as Hibernate
  • MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
  • REST APIs
  • JSon processing

Software engineering and DevOps:

  • Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc
  • Clean Code
  • Clean Architecture
  • TDD and unit testing
  • Git with GitHub, Azure DevOps or GitLab
  • Linux

Knowledge

  • Lean & Agile principles
  • DRY programming
  • SOLID design principles
  • YAGNI principle
  • INVEST criteria for backlog items

Cultural fit

  • Flexible and able to balance between internal and customer interests
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Have customer oriented attitude is in your nature
  • Great at communicating, both when it comes to technical details as well as business needs

  • SAFe

  • Modern architecture patterns such as micro-services
  • MVVM and MVC architectures
  • Privacy & security by design
  • DevOps and Reliability Engineering best practices
  • Containerisation with Docker, Kubernetes etc
  • AWS experience
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Terraform, AWS CloudFormation etc
  • Jira and Confluence

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Redis, ElasticSearch
