About the role

User researchers plan, design and carry out research activities with users that help teams get a deep understanding of the people that use apps and services. This research informs policy, proposition, service, content and interaction design so that services work well for users and achieves policy intent.

This is not a UX researcher or a market researcher role. The user researchers we are looking for practice user-centred design combined with agile practices.

User Platform (UP) is a tribe responsible for building the tooling and support platforms for the engineering teams at our client. UP owns the platforms for authentication, authorisation, user account data and user experience configuration. UP was formed to improve its technologies and move up the stack to provide a secure platform with reusable components that can be used on many different surfaces to help users log in and lead their account data. UP is also working with other teams to help them experiment and customise the user experience in new and more refined ways.

You will build a deep understanding of their users' needs, goals and workflows, turning qualitative user research into insights and artefacts which will shape the future of their products.

  • Comfortable with planning, prioritising, conducting, analysing and communicating research in a variety of contexts.
  • Familiar with quantitative research methods, utilising metrics and A/B tests, and able to synthesise quantitative data with qualitative data.
